The Julian Alps Experience

This experience is for those who want to try a variety of experiences away from the hard core walking offered by these mountains.

The programme is flexible, depending on the weather and the mood of the group. There will be an amazingly scenic gorge walk and opportunities to try a rafting trip and visits to places of outstanding beauty or of cultural importance.

There will also be a lot of tai-chi, qigong and meditation to start the days and yoga and shiatsu to end them. This trip is very restful and recharging of drained energy.


Boat and Beach

This experience is a gentle de-tox for both mind and body when the wet British winter is hiding the fact that the world we create for ourselves is a beautiful place! There will be a certain amount of introspection and looking at where we are in our lives but the main focus is on learning life skills which we can take away and use as and when needed to reach a space of inner harmony.

We will travel around the beautiful islands of Thailand, stopping off at various beaches on the way. Here we do tai chi, qigong and meditation in the mornings and sail, swim and absorb the amazing ambience of the environment during the day before stopping off at another beach to explore, do yoga, shiatsu, relax and meditate before sleeping on the beach or the boat. A truly memorable way to connect back into ourselves and our lives.


The Desert Experience

This is for those who are not afraid to take a long and hard look at themselves and to take real steps to change their lives. It is an intense and exciting two weeks of deep inner exploration, lots of tai chi, qigong, liangong and deep meditation with guided awareness and goal setting from the skills of NLP. You have to be prepared to face yourself in the majesty and grandeur of the Indian desert.


Holistic Adventure Holidays

This year we are launching a new collaboration with a highly respected and established company in the adventure travel industry - High and Wild. By bringing together our unique skills we are aiming to make ourselves industry leaders in the field of holistic adventure travel. You will have a truly memorable and life changing experience!


The Inner Skier

We will be based in a chalet with gourmet food near the pistes. This is for those who have been inspired by the beauty of the mountains and the amazing energy of the air around and who want to explore more deeply the energy that is aroused by the skiing experience. Tai chi and meditation connect themselves beautifully to the physical and mental actions of skiing, whilst meditation and relaxation with yoga and shiatsu are a perfect way to wind down at the end of a strenuous day on the slopes.

This is for those who want much more than to feel something move their spirit and then go and drink too much in a crowded and noisy bar - though there is the opportunity to explore that as well!


Life Mapping Journey

This experience is for those who want to change their lives and find a sense of direction and purpose. Learning how to be authentic to themselves.

We will look at attainable goals and outcomes which satisfy deeper needs and are in our best interests. There will be a lot of NLP work and we will delve deeper into ourselves so that we can become who we really want to be.


Re-grouping time

This is a real chill out time where the emphasis is on relaxation and re-charging our batteries. We will be letting go of old stuff and will be encouraged to develop and evolve a life style based on an ethical set of values we create for ourselves.

There will be a lot of tai-chi, qigong, yoga, relaxation, shiatsu and more! There will be an emphasis on taking action steps and not becoming ideas orientated!


Learn / Improve Shiatsu

We stay in a remote chalet high on the sides of a beautiful valley. There is a sauna and lovely walks. The air is clean and crystal clear. Perfect for re-charging depleted energy

The course is for those who want to deepen their connection to Shiatsu, to move and flow in a way which harmonises their connection to themselves and their client/friend. You do not need to be a Shiatsu practitioner to benefit and there are courses for those who want to know enough to practice on family and friends. Look in the Fun Shiatsu section.

There will be tai-chi, qigong, meditation, relaxation and looking at how to apply these principles to your movement and transitions around the body. This is a practical experience with very little sitting about and little in the way of theory.

In the afternoons you will be able to go for walks, practice or just relax! We will explore the principles of creating a treatment package centred around both your needs and your clients needs. For example, if your knees are sore or if you have a bad back you will need to work in a different way than if you are not injured. So we develop a tool kit of techniques which, when connected to a framework of needs, creates your unique treatment package for that session.

We will also look in depth at the arm and leg positions to access the channels in various postures and, how to connect our bodies and hara to these and how to balance a treatment package so that it meets your clients desires whilst being true to your diagnosis.


The Samurai Journey

This experience is the same as was shown on the TV programme and is for a smaller number of people - a maximum of 6-8. It is physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. The time in the mountains and in the bivouac hut is very basic and communal but the experience is amazing.

Each day starts with a meditation to focus awareness, desires, expectations and action steps. Followed by tai-chi and qigong before the challenge for the day begins. We will be working continuously on the inner journey!! This is only for the hardiest and toughest!


Walking courses

These programmes are created for those who are inspired by the majesty and grandeur of the worlds wild places, be it in England or in the mountains of Slovenia or Italy.

When you feel your spirit touched but aren't quite sure how to take that experience into you, then this is the course for you. The aim is to connect to your inner self, the part of you which stands in awe of the vastness of nature, and to take that energy and use it in every day life so that you can access a state of inner joy and peace at any time any where!

There are three levels: 1) 2-3 hours along well defined paths in the mountains, 2) 3-4 hours along way marked paths but more ascents and more difficult, 3) 4-5 hours along harder, more mountainous paths.

Each day starts with a good warm up, tai-chi, qigong and a relaxing meditation. Breakfast follows and then depending which experience you are on there will be more or less of qigong and energy work.

The evenings start with yoga to remove the stiffness and then showers, sauna, food and shiatsu with meditation to finish the day. Laughter, fun, connection to yourself and the group and the mountain environment are what make these experiences so popular.


Workshops in Britain

These workshops are presented by popular demand as they provide a link to the bigger holiday experiences that people have had and provide on going training and teaching into deeper aspects of energy work through tai chi, qigong, liangong, yoga, NLP, meditation and more.

They are run at various locations and some are one day and some are residentials.

More details will be anounced in the near future, however these are developing into a large part of what we at the Inward Adventure do.
